Finland will build a nuclear power plant for €7 billion

Today at the Atomexpo-2017 exhibition, opened in Moscow, the head of the Fennovoima company, Minna Forstrem, told about the plans to start the construction of NPP "Hanhikivi-1” in 2018. Domestic investments of Finland will amount to 2.8 billion euros. According to Minna Forstrem, it’s a good opportunity for business of Finland. The whole project is estimated at €7 billion.

Russia invests €2.4 billion, all other funds are bank loans. The Bank of Foreign Economic Activity of Russia develops a road map for NPP financing from the Russian side.

The construction of NPP "Hanhikivi-1" will start in 2018 and last until 2023. The start is scheduled for 2024.
