In Finland the popularity of the Chinese online stores greatly increased. The post of Finland counted 15 million small packages from China to Finland last year. This is 50 percent more than in the previous year. The same growth was recorded in 2015.

The post of Finland does not express happiness of such online purchases boom in the country. Parcels from Chinese web stores often have an unusual shape (for example, if there are interior design items), and such parcels are handled manually. It is expensive for the Post, although it receives compensation for foreign postage. However, compensation does not cover the wage of manual workers at the Finnish post.

Customs of Finland is also concerned about the growth of online purchases of the Finns in China. Customs officers worry about counterfeit and illegal goods sent in parcels from China to Finland. The customs officers detain and confiscate drugs and vitamins that are sent by international postage from China.
