Executive Director of the Finnish company Helsingin Satama, Ou Kimmo Mäki, said in his interview to the Finnish state television and radio company YIe, that according to forecasts Helsinki will become the world's largest passenger port and carry 12 million passengers excluding tourists of cruise ships.

Helsinki port competed in these indicators with the port of Dover, but last year the difference in number of passengers carried was only several per cents. Now, due to the rapid development of communications between Helsinki and Tallinn, the number of liner vessels and therefore passengers gives hope to the Helsinki port for the world’s superiority.
