Finnish Finnair, the safest airline in the world in 2018 year, plans to significantly increase its presence in Russia. This should make the capital of Finland even more popular among tourists.

Last week the analytical service of the air carrier published statistics for 2018 year. The campaign for the active development of Vantaan airport has borne fruit – the number of travelers who arrived from Russia has increased significantly. For example, citizens of St. Petersburg flew 50% more than in 2017 to the capital Suomi. In addition, tourists from Asian countries began to choose St. Petersburg and Helsinki as transfer points.

In this regard, the airline plans to increase the number of daily flights both from Moscow and from the Northern capital, bringing their total number to 8. The only competitor in this direction is the Russian Aeroflot, but it loses in the cost policy and the number of proposals for connecting flights.
