The NLMK group will expand production using Finnish technologies

Representatives of international steel NLMK group signed a contract with the Finnish manufacturer of equipment for the metallurgical and mining industry Outotec in the amount of EUR 15 million. The project is expected to be completed in two years.
The main work under the contract will be aimed at the modernization and expansion of production of one of the concern divisions — Stoilensky mining and processing plant. One of the largest producers of enriched ore with high iron content in Russia plans to increase the capacity by more than 30%. The package of the agreement includes personal development of equipment and automation systems, installation and training of personnel.
The commissioning of the Outotec developments will allow the Starooskolskiy combine to stabilize the production process, make it safer and more predictable, and also meet the growing needs of Russian enterprises in iron ore concentrate.
