Herd immunity is a long way off

Last week, Finland recorded a significant surge in the number of new cases of covid-19. Despite the massive vaccination campaign, collective immunity in the country will not arise soon.
Currently, only 32% of Suomi residents are protected by two doses of vaccine. According to the recommendations of the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control, if the average incidence rate continues to rise, mandatory testing and two weeks of quarantine may be introduced for those arriving from Finland in other EU countries.
