The number of applications for Finnish visas is breaking records

Representatives of the diplomatic corps of Finland in Russia reported an unprecedented increase in visa applications from Russians this month. The increase only in recent weeks was more than 35%.

Despite the decline in purchasing power and shifting to independent travel, the Russian tourists still actively purchase in numerous cross-border shopping malls of Suomi. The second most popular direction is cultural, namely, visiting numerous festivals in Helsinki, as well as ecotourism. However, according to statistics, it will not be possible to restore the level of attendance to pre-crisis values anytime soon.
