Representatives of the border structures of Finland and Russia agreed to suspend the operation of the Shuvyaoro-Parikkala checkpoint. Neighboring crossings, including Imatra - Svetogorsk, operate in limited mode.
The pause is caused by an almost complete cessation of freight traffic on this section. Recall that the decision of the EU Council 2022/578 of 08.04.2022 prohibits the work of Russian road carriers on the territory of the European Union, and previously imposed restrictions severely restrict the import of goods into the Russian Federation.
