Julkaistu 08 2015
For the period January to July 2015 imports of wood in Finland fell to 5.54 million m3 (-8%) as compared with the same period in 2014.

The main export volume of wood in Finland was covered by birch pulpwood (2.75 million m3), the remaining portion of imported wood products - chips (1.75 million m3). At the same time, it is worth noting a slight increase in exports: for the period January to July 2015 it rose by 6%, amounting to 6.79 billion euros. It is worth noting that now the main supplier of wood in Finland is Russia, and the main part of the Finnish timber is exported to the UK and Germany.
