Russia and Finland plan to restore trade relations by 2023
Julkaistu 06 2015
With this statement agrees Valery Shlyamin, trade representative of the Russian Federation in Finland. Sanctions policy and decline in oil prices led to a significant decline in trade relations between Russia and Finland in 2015. Considerable influence on the situation was made by reduction in the flow of Russian tourists to Europe.

Experts of trade representation predict that the level of trade turnover will be recovered by 2023 but a return to the figures of 2013 is not possible due to a long-term preservation of steady oil price of 50 dollars per barrel.

Currently, the foundation of trade relations between the two countries is energy - about 60% of total turnover. In the coming years the level of commodity export of Russia in this area will be reduced.
