Transport Ministry of the Russian Federation plans to ban the movement of buses on the most popular road from Vyborg to the border crossing point "Brusnichnoe". The decision was caused by a large number of accidents on this section of highway in winter. It is reported that the road will be closed until 31 March 2018.

Change of route will increase travel time and have impact on the tickets cost, which may reduce the number of passengers. Official carriers are concerned that some tourists will go on the old route by small vans, the drivers of which do not have to obtain licenses to carry out transportation and observe the regime of work and rest, that is unlikely to reduce the number of accidents in this area.

Buses are encouraged to use such crossing points as “Svetogorsk” and “Torfyanovka”, customs services of which, according to experts, can not cope with the new flow of passengers.
