Julkaistu 18 syyskuu 2018
The largest search Google system as part of the Alphabet holding signed a contract for the purchase of electricity generated at stations with wind turbines in Finland. This was recently reported by the Finnish-Russian Chamber of commerce.

The electricity generated by the renewable energy source will be used to power the data storage and processing centre of the Corporation, located in Hamina since 2009. Google plans to invest in the development of wind farms in Finland and acquire all the power, which is produced now, up to 190 MW. This long-term contract is aimed at strengthening the status of the American holding as an "eco-company" and will allow to develop the project of wind turbines without state subsidies for the first time.
