The global chemical giant BASF plans to invest almost half a billion euros in a new factory in Finland. Norilsk Nickel is also involved in the new project.

The branch of the Russian mining and metallurgical company in Suomi will attract as a supplier of raw materials for the production of modern batteries for electric cars. Located in the province of Satakunta, the company will supply refined, that is, purified from impurities, cobalt, and Nickel. The construction is planned to be completed in 2 years. Active promotion of environmentally friendly transport in the European Union soon will require more energy, and therefore will allow recouping the project quickly. Also, the plant will provide Suomi with additional jobs.
