The information portal yle.fi publised results of the research conducted by the Russian-Finnish Chamber of Commerce in the area of export-import relations of these two countries. It is reported that the volume of sales between Russia and Finland in 2015 dropped by one third, but since the last autumn the number of Finnish Enterprises, which believe in the near-term prospect of Russian economic stabilization, increased from 30% to 52%.

Sharp decline in Russian-Finnish export and import of goods is associated by the experts with a number of reasons, the most significant of which are sanctions and instability of ruble in the currency market. Nevertheless, Finnish economists note the growth in several sectors of Russian economy that allows Finnish entrepreneurs to believe in the nearest improvement of trade relations.
