Dismissed employees of Nokia company will get compensation

European Globalisation Adjustment Fund at the request of Labour and Justice Ministry of Finland is redy to give compensation, total amount of which is 2,6 million euros, to 820 Finnish dismissed employees of Nokia company.

Lay off of 1300 employees of the Nokia corporation was in March of the current year. Half of employees was dismissed in Espoo, a quarter - in Oulu, and the others - in Tampere. Marian Tissen, the EU Commissioner for Employment, believes that this compensation will help the dismissed employees to set up their own business or find a new job.
