Finland and Russia have launched a new intercontinental route
Publishedо 30 June, 2021
The Finnish logistics concern Nurminen Logistics and the division of the Russian operator Russian Railways responsible for multimodal transportation have launched the first train along the North-South intercontinental transport corridor. In 2 weeks, the cargo should arrive at its destination - Nhava-Sheva, the largest seaport in India.

The total time of the train on the way is a little more than 3 weeks. This route can become a worthy replacement for the standard sea route from Europe to Southeast Asia via Suez due to the lower cost and high speed of delivery - on average, the time savings will be 15-20 days. The emergence of alternative logistics channels is especially important now, given the high instability in the transportation sector.
