Customs clearance of railway cargo on the border between Finland and Russia will be simplified

In 2016 Karelian customs plans to move to a simplified electronic mode of customs clearance of cargoestransported by rail. Automatic registration successfully operates in all positions for already a year, and can significantly reduce the time of customs clearance.
According to customs data, the total volume of cargo transported through the Russian-Finnish border over the past year fell by a third. The main flow of exports and imports pass through the customs post "Wärtsilä", so it will be reconstructed in the first place until 2020.
