Russian prime-minister Dmitry Medvedev revisited Finland
The Russian prime-minister Dmitry Medvedev and the head of Finland government Juha Sipila held a meeting in Oulu on 9 December. They discussed cooperation between two countries in framework of implementation of “Nord Stream 2” gas pipeline and “Hanhikivi-1” nuclear power plant projects, and other important questions.
In response to the statement of the Finnish prime-minister of the decline in trade turnovers between Russia and Finland in view of imposing trade embargo, Dmitry Medvedev reminded his colleague that Russia was not the first-hand source of politico-economical sanctions. The Russian prime-minister believes that at the moment they should discuss not the lifting of sanctions but the minimization of their consequences.
