The Finnish manufacturer will expand at the expense of Russian garbage
Publishedо 9 April, 2019
One of the world's leading manufacturers of disposable tableware Huhtamaki plans to invest more than 40 million euros in the production capacity of the complex, located in Moscow suburbs.
The Finnish company is an advanced manufacturer in the field of various packaging of paper or plastic for food, and cooperates, for example, with McDonald's, KFC and Wimm-bill-Dann. Since the beginning of 2019, the plant has started an experiment on separate waste collection, as a result of which Huhtamaki received a new channel of raw materials for further processing into finished products. The remaining fractions can be used as energy sources.
Positive experience allowed the management of the Huhtamaki complex to develop a plan to expand and attract additional investments in the garbage processing sector, and to make an agreement with the government of the Moscow region on the allocation of additional areas and land plots.
